Steve Macdonald
has been performing music for over 25 years, and found his home in fandom
in 1992. Since then, he has appeared at many conventions throughout North
America, the UK, and Germany.
He was inducted into the
Filk Hall of Fame
in 2006, and also lists 4
Pegasus Awards,
a SAM (from the UK Filk con), and a Golden Kazoo (from ConChord) as items
on his dusting shelf (not to mention several songwriting contest awards,
old con badges, program books... you get the picture).
Originally from Michigan, Steve recently emigrated to Germany to marry
the woman of his dreams,
Katy Dröge
(who just happens to be a filker, too. Remember that "found his home
in fandom" thing? He really means it).
We welcome Steve back for a visit to the US, and look forward to his
return to the Pacific Northwest!
